I think I'm in love

My humans brought me 4 more toys for me to play with, namely a Charlotte, a Steve, an Alex.....and an Andy.

I was very happy jumping and playing with my new toys and they enjoyed playing with me as well (who wouldn't!).
My Charlotte
Andy was different from the others though. He played hard to get and he stole my heart, as is quite obvious from the photo below. Us, looking adoringly at each other.

My lovely Andy
I even heard he might get a cat himself. Don't know why he'd bother when he can just have me!

I was so exhausted after my toys left that I slept the whole next day!

I'm running away to the circus

The other weekend my humans brought me a new toy to play with. She was called Loz. She had really wriggly feet and fingers and they were fun to play with. She put my picture on something called the FaceBook and people said I was cute. They are right!

Loz's wriggly foot
I also overheard my Loz talking about doing trapeze. A few days later I accidentally ended up doing the same. through the cord for the blinds.

The purrfect HQ pt 3

So, what is it I want from my head quarters?

1. It must be comfort. Generally this means something that is small and I can hide away in it
2. It must have more than one exit
3. It should be mobile in case I my exits are blocked
4. Ideally it should be near one of my humans in case I need to take a swipe at them

With these in mind, I think I finally found it!

And all that jazz

I was delighted to see a picture of my Aunt Jasmine (by marriage) come through on my humans phone the other night. This just reinforces my notion that dogs are inferior to cats.

The case of the curious kitten

Today I discovered that if I get up on my scratching post, I look at the things I hear outside. This definitely demands further study!

Finding the purrfect HQ - Part 2

The hunt is still on for my headquaters.

I recently found a very exciting place - the bottom drawer. It enables me to easily spyon my humans. I just need to be careful they don't squash me if I'm hiding at the back.

The second option was the washing machine. I'm mesmerised by this when it's on. Things go around and around and around and it looks fun, so I thought I'd see if it could suffice. It was a bit wet in there and the second time I tried to jump in, I didn't realise that the door was closed!

Finding the purrfect HQ

Every villian has some lair, hidden away in which they can best lay future their plans. Dr No has his in Crab Key Island, Dr Evil had his volanco scultpured in his image and Darth Vader design (badly) his Death Star.

I don't yet have those kinds of resources, but that isn't stopping me from looking for a secret base. Some are better than others. The cupboard has lots of containers for me to sit in, but has limited availability (generally when my humans have left the door open and their backs are turned). The dishwasher makes interesting noises and has lovely smells, but once again is difficult to get into...and even more difficult to get out of.

That red zippy thing

It was there again today.

When I first saw it the other day I had no idea what it was. It was suddenly there, a bright red dot. It then disappeared immediately. Then it was back. My tail twitched and I hissed at it. How dare something sneak up on me? What is it?

It started moving away from me and I slowly followed. It sped up, and so did I. Next thing I know I’m chasing it, but like a bad dream it was forever out of my reach, even when I was sure I had it in my paws!

Today I chased and chased and chased it! I could hear my human’s muffled laughter and it was distracting – likely the reason I didn’t catch it. I will claw them for their impertinence.

Whatever this thing is, its quick. Next time, I’ll be ready.

Between a chair and a hard place

It is undeniable that I will rule the world. Many have failed, others have only half realised their ambition. Alexander the Great? Great at ruling half the world. Genghis Khan? Khan't have it all. Where they have failed, I will succeed.

However, with every great journey, there are sometimes little hurdles along the way.

While my captors were enjoying their Valentine dinner, I was hiding under the table. I had heard of something fun called Cupid. Cupid has wings and wings have feathers. I like feathers. I like feathers a LOT!

So, pounce at the ready, I somehow managed to get my head stuck between the chair and the table. Some might say there was some pathetic meowing on my part, and my captors might say have had to rescue me, but the truth is I showed that I can make my captors do as I want.
